The 7th Edition of Michigan in Brief is scheduled for release in June 2002.

This 6th edition is sponsored by the Michigan Nonprofit Association and the Council of Michigan Foundations and is the sixth prepared and published by Public Sector Consultants, Inc. This handbook

addresses 65 Michigan public policy issues, presenting background, nonpartisan discussion of policy options, and sources of additional information;
describes local government organization and the three branches of state government;
explains the state budget process;
contains useful appendices, including economic forecasts, census information and other data, and miscellanea; and
describes the operation and role of the nonprofit sector, foundations, and United Way organizations in Michigan.
